Masterfil®
filters are fabric oil filters scientifically engineered
to extend the oil life in commercial foodservice operations.
Masterfil® filters evolved through extensive research
and development with a major university Food Sciences
Department (specializing in food technology) and field
testing with nationally recognized chain restaurants.
The filter media is completely safe and conforms to
FDA standards. It is designed to be a drop-in replacement
for existing mechanical filtration equipment. No additional
tools or hardware are required, and no modifications
are needed. The filter is used the same way the traditional
filters are used with one exception:

The
Masterfil® long life micro-filtration media can
be used over and over again for up to 10 to 20
times the life of traditional shortening filters
while providing greatly enhance filtration efficiency.
In cases where sediment loads are present, the
engineered surface of the filter media is easily
cleaned. Simply use a spatula or scoop to scrape
out the debris and continue filtering. The filter
surface is virtually impossible to tear or damage.
Masterfil® filters provide absolute particulate
removal at 99% efficiency down to ½ micron. The
separation technology is immediate with no need
to re-circulate. This will cut the time of filtration
by as much as 75%. The extended life of the oil
results in significant savings in shortening/oil
cost.
Since
each foodservice operation is uniquely different, the
change frequency of the Masterfil® media will need to
be determined through thorough testing. Generally, the
filter needs to be replaced when the oil is replaced.
